The means, method and practical application of indoor lighting

Due to the continuous development of new artificial light sources, new materials and new lamps and lanterns, the artistic processing techniques using artificial light sources are increasing day by day, providing us with more colorful means and methods of light environment design.

(1) Contrast of lightIndoor lighting

There are brightness contrast of light, contrast of light and shadow, contrast of light and color, etc.

1. Brightness comparison of light. Under the illumination of direct light or key light, a high brightness contrast will obtain a bright atmosphere; on the contrary, in the case of diffused light, a low brightness contrast will obtain a dull atmosphere.

2. Light and shadow contrast (light and dark contrast). The contrast of light and shadow can express the shape of the object and produce a three-dimensional effect. The use of light and shadow effects in the light environment can increase the decorative atmosphere of the environment, suit people’s visual psychology, and make people feel comfortable.

3. Light and color contrast. Use light source colors of different hues in a specific space, or incandescent lamps are projected into a specific color-coated space to form a color-phase contrast of light to meet functional requirements, or between the same hue, the brightness of light contrasts , to fully display the effect of light and color contrast.

(2) The level of light

When the light is illuminated, the surface changes from bright to dark or from shallow to deep, showing the outline of the light and forming a layered effect. This effect is produced by the position, direction, intensity of the inner light, and the properties and color of the surface material, and has the expressive power of light rendering.

(3) Inflection of light

The inflection of the light is the control of the intensity of the light. In the part that needs strong contrast, the direct light or key light is used to produce a spotlight effect, and the atmosphere is bright and warm, so that it can stimulate people’s vision first, thereby attracting people’s attention or interest in this part. On the contrary, in secondary occasions, diffused light is used to produce a relatively low brightness, the atmosphere is dim and soft, and it is not specially drawn to people’s attention.
